Grendel and beowulf.

Beowulf, son of Ecgtheow, first comes to Heorot when he hears about this horrible monster killing everybody in this land. When beowulf sails there Hrothgar sends his coast gaurd to ask him who he is and why he is there at Heorot. Beowulf tells him he and his men do no harm to the land and have wish to come and help out with their problem because he know he can make it go away. Beowulf talks to Hrothgar telling him why they have come. The king excepted because he knew of his father and knew that he could get rid of this awful monster bringing him much grief. He told beowulf where to go to find grendel and when to find him and wished him good luck. Beowulf and his men followed the path to the mead hall and waited for grendel to come. When grendel first came beowulf waited and watched him. Then beowulf defeated grendel in batttle and that problem was solved. The people of the danes celebrated with decorations and mead because grendel was gone and they had a hero in there land now.

Grendels mother.

Grendels mother arrives in the night to avenge her sons death. She kills and takes away Aeschere's, one of Hrothgar's most valued advisers. Beowulf follows a path the grendels mother had left and found Aeschere's head at the foot of a sea cliff. The water was invested with sea dragons and reptiles. Beowuf prepared to agian battle another monster. Beowulf asks Hrothgar to care for his comrades if he is killed. He then dives into the lake, taking nearly a day to reach the bottom to where grendels mother had lived. As he fights grendels mother she takes him to her court. He is forced to fight her bare handed when he spots a sword and useds it to cut off grendels head. He decideds to leave the treasures and returns to shore. Beowulf once agian challenges a monster and succeeds with the encouragment of the people and his men.

Beowulf and the dragon.

Last fight for Beowulf and with the help of his weapons, unlike when he fought grendel when he used no weapons. He will fight this dragon know of the dragons fire and venom, and will ask his men to stay behide and allow him to fight alone. He angrily challenges the dragon, with a burst of flames that overwelmes him. As beowulf fights the dragon he finds out that his sword cant cut through the dragon scales. All his men turn and hed saftley to the woods except for one, Wiglaf, son of Weohstan. He went and joined beowulf in battle. After beowulf breaks his sword the dragon stuck his fangs into beowulf, then Wiglaf stabbed the dragon in the stomacha and at last beowulf killing it with the knife. Beowulf knew he was dieing and his old body couldnt fight off the venom. He asks Wiglaf to go and look the treasure inside the barrow and bring some to him. That was Beowulf's last victory;his last chance to help sombody in the world.

Beowulf's death.

The story of Beowulf ends with his death. Beowulf was a king for many years and a great king that everybody loved. Beowulf died by killing the great fire breathing dragon though he succeeds in this battle leaving the dragon with its death. Beowulf had gotten bitten in the fight and had resulted in his last battle and his death. The dragons venom was posinous so it had killed Beowulf. A messenger bears news of the king's death to the people.Beowulf's body is to be burned in a fire along with alot of gold. A tragic future awiats for the geats. I think beowulf was a very brave man for going and sacrafiseing his life for his poeple and i think that it makes him a true hero when you are willing to die for somebody else.
